Memoir

Shared journal

A shared journal for every side of the story.

Share a memory with family or friends, ask what they remember, and keep each person’s side beside your own. Memoir makes a shared journal without turning private memories into a social feed.

Share the memory, keep your voice

Their side joins yours. It does not overwrite it.

You remember the music. Someone else remembers what happened in the kitchen. A child remembers the cake. When a friend adds their side, each account stays distinct and the memory becomes fuller.

You choose what leaves your private journal. Friends must accept each other before either person can share, and a shared copy is end-to-end encrypted for the people invited to it.

Memories

Ask for their side.

Send one memory to the people who shared it and invite them to add what they remember.

Chapters

Build a story together.

Gather related memories into a chapter while every person keeps ownership of what they contribute.

Spaces

A home for the group.

Family, old friends, a trip or Sunday supper: keep an ongoing place for the memories the group shares.

Made for real relationships

No followers. No public profile. No performance.

Memoir uses friendships and invitations rather than an audience. A space is visible only to its members. You can leave, remove something you shared, block someone or report abuse without losing access to the rest of your private journal.

Shared memories can appear naturally in Today and Timeline, so another person’s recollection becomes part of how you revisit the day.

Remember together

A shared book for the relationship.

The memories between two people can become their own book. Families and groups can collect chapters over time without giving up the private journals that belong to each person.

It works for the ordinary things too: meals, school days, jokes, visits and the small traditions that rarely make it into a photo album.

Sharing questions

Can friends edit my memories?+

No. Another person adds their own side or contributes their own memory. Your original memory remains yours.

Who can see a shared memory?+

Only the people it is shared with. Shared content is end-to-end encrypted for its recipients and is not made public.

Can I stop sharing later?+

Yes. Removing access prevents future downloads and removes the shared item from the other person’s Memoir app when it next syncs. It cannot undo a screenshot or a copy someone made outside the app.

Does everyone need a Memoir account?+

Yes. Accounts provide each person with an identity and encryption keys so the app can deliver shared memories privately.

Keep the story you share.

Your memories stay personal. The people you choose can add the parts only they remember.
